A public sector organisation in the human health sector required commercial support for an internal business unit that had developed a service based business on an ad-hoc basis over a period of years. The business unit has achieved significant sales but wanted to increase growth further; the unit management team engaged us to provide commercial support for the team over a period of several years.
Initially, we provided formal training in a number of key areas, including marketing, sales, key account management and negotiation skills.
The training provided a framework for the second stage of the project when we visited the client on a monthly basis to advise and support the management team.
We worked with the team to help them to design marketing materials, implement effective marketing campaigns, grow the UK market via direct sales, manage key accounts and set up an international distribution network for product sales.
